I dream of a world where it is more popular to create opportunities vs. obstacles for others.

Regardless of what Jay-Z says, as humans, we do not do everything well. Villages raise children, teams win games, extremely stealthy production crews execute Beyonce’ concerts…so why is it so common to shut out people you could potentially build something amazing with? More afraid of what they might take away from you vs. what they could add to your vision.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for, what, five minutes? I know it’s hard to believe, but the collaboration opportunities have not been flooding in lol. But one day @embraceyoursingleness (who has exponentially more followers than me), saw my post, felt like it resonated with her audience, and reposted it. She didn’t ask me for money, she didn’t ask me for free product. She just respected my content and showed love. And I cried like a baby.

She had no idea that I had been trying to connect with some other major pages, without one reply or acknowledgement, for months. She had no idea that such a small gesture would mean so much to me. She had no idea that just the day before, I questioned whether I should just stick to my day job. She lifted me up that day and I cannot wait for the day I get to return the favor to someone else with a dollar and a dream. I encourage you to look at, around, outside your circle and see whose life you can influence for the better. - Love, Jaye
